ATAR Calculator HSC

This HSC ATAR calculator uses your subjects and predicted raw marks — using real percentile-anchored scaling data, not a flat guess.

Your subjects

Your first subject is treated as compulsory English. Best 10 units count towards your aggregate out of 500 — English’s best 2 units plus your next best 8 units (most subjects are 2 units each, so typically your best 4 other subjects).

Estimated ATAR
—

This estimate uses real percentile-anchored per-subject scaling data (raw mark at the 25th/50th/75th/90th/99th percentile mapped to its scaled equivalent), interpolated between those points. Your aggregate is your best 10 units — English’s best 2 units in full, plus your next best 8 units, each subject’s scaled mark divided by 2 to give its per-unit value (out of 50), matching how UAC actually reports scaled marks for a 2-unit course. Some subjects (e.g. Extension courses, VET) carry additional eligibility rules and a cap on how many non-standard units count — this calculator doesn’t model those edge cases. Unlike SATAC, UAC does not publish an aggregate-to-ATAR conversion table, so the aggregate-to-ATAR step here is an illustrative curve, not an official one. Your real ATAR is issued only by UAC.
